PLAYSTATION has expanded its console production lately with several new gaming peripherals.

The PlayStation Portal, a portable streaming device for PS5, was in high demand, and gamers struggled to get their hands on one.

PlayStation has also released a new PS5 model, known to fans as the PS5 Slim, a much lighter version of the chunky console.

It seems the company isn’t satisfied with that yet, as new leaks have surfaced suggesting a PS5 Pro could be on the way before the end of the year.

Documents have reportedly been leaked for the PS5 Pro, which is reportedly known internally as Project Trinity.

YouTuber Moore’s law is deadshowed screenshots of what they claim are internal PlayStation documents.

The screenshots show specifications for Project Trinity, which claims performance will be vastly improved.

The PS5 Pro will reportedly pack 67 teraflops, which could lead to up to three times better performance.

These screenshots also say that ray tracing will be two to four times faster on the new consoles.

What this means for players is that performance should be significantly improved, leading to better loading times and the ability to reach 120 fps.

The console will also reportedly use AI upscaling to hopefully achieve the 8K graphics fans had been hoping for.

However, it should be noted that the original PS5 promised 120fps at 8K when it originally launched, which is not the reality.

Some games run at 120fps, but these tend to be smaller titles, and very few games reportedly use 8K.

It’s believed that some developers already have PS5 Pro development kits, which would align with the aforementioned late 2024 timeframe.

While numerous places have reported on this news, it should be noted that none of this has been confirmed.

Every source has a history of leaks, but these are not always correct, meaning this information should be treated with skepticism.

This information is consistent with what people expect from a PS5 Pro, so it’s entirely possible that these are educated guesses at best.
