The association said the government had called for talks at 12 noon on Sunday, attended by RPDA executive members Rajendra Singh Bhati, Sunit Bagai, Vijay Meena and Jaipur district president Ladu Singh, secretary Amit Saraogi and Jaipur dealer Sandeep Bhardwaj.

On behalf of the government, Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Information Technology and Communications Minister Anandi and officials of the Finance Ministry were present at the meeting. The conversation lasted about an hour and was completely positive.

The Rajasthan Petroleum Dealers Association had started their two-day strike demanding a reduction in value added tax (VAT) levied on petrol and diesel from March 10, 2024.

According to the Rajasthan Petroleum Dealers Association, the strike, which started at 6 a.m. on March 10, would last until 6 a.m. on March 12.

As part of the strike, fuel pumping stations remained closed yesterday while petroleum dealers did not buy or sell fuel in the state.

Many petrol pumps in the state had been closed since yesterday, causing problems for citizens for a longer period of time. Now that the association has called off the strike, it will come as a huge relief to the citizens of the state.
