'Rare' New Twix & Snickers Treat Spotted in Store Shoppers Have Never Heard Of
CHOCOLATE junkies are on high alert after a rare and often elusive sweet treat was spotted on store shelves.
The snack was highly appreciated by sweet-toothed Brits who filled their baskets with them when they first hit stores in 2022.
The hard-to-find treat was posted on social media, on a popular Facebook group called New Foods UK.
The message reads: “Twix and Snickers Cookie Dough spotted at my local Budgens store.”
The Twix version made headlines when choc-loving customers were offered sample boxes in 2022.
They were so popular that they sold out in three minutes.
Shortly afterwards, Twix was forced to discontinue the samples as gamblers desperately tried to get their hands on a box of them.
At the time, Twix wrote on
“We'll be giving away a few additional boxes of TWIX Cookie Dough on our social channels in the coming days, so stay tuned.”
Brits have struggled to find the snack ever since, so when it was posted on Facebook – with the location – Brits were delighted at the news.
And cookie dough fans can now get their hands on a Snickers flavor, too.
One user said: “I want the Twix but have never heard of that store.”
While a second user tagged his friend and said: “If they have them I'm begging you to buy me a tub of each.”
And a third said: “I need the snickers.”
Budgens – perhaps often overlooked – has been operating in Britain since 1872 and is currently one of the oldest supermarket brands Blighty has to offer.
In its recent history it was bought by Booker Group – which was then bought by Tesco – and there are still hundreds of stores open across the UK.
Brits across the country have been treated to new chocolate releases in recent months – and they all seem to be ready for a delicious Easter holiday next month.
