Rashmika Mandanna in Animal's most challenging scene reveals that she cried after hitting Ranbir
Rashmika Mandanna, who was recently seen in Animal, revealed that she actually cried after slapping Ranbir Kapoor in the film.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga movie Animal was one of the biggest hits of 2023. The film released on December 1, 2023, starred Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles. The film earned an impressive Rs 800 crore gross worldwide. Now, Rashmika Mandanna recently opened up about one of the intense scenes in the film where she hit her on-screen husband, played by Ranbir Kapoor.
While talking to Pinkvilla, the actress revealed that she ended up crying and screaming after the scene was over. She also recalled the guidance given by director Sandeep Reddy Vanga before the scene, which proved to be helpful to her. Revealing more details, the actress said, “The entire sequence was one take because there was a lot of poignancy. It wasn't predictable. I didn't know what I was going to do. Sandeep said I should just feel how someone would feel in this situation. I only remember this. I don't remember anything between the action and the cut. I just can't process it. My brain just went blank.”
In a scene in the film, Rashmika's character was seen slapping husband Rannvijay after he revealed that he had spent a night with Zoya, played by Triptii Dimri. Later, Ranvijay is seen telling Gitanjali that he had to sleep with Zoya to know about her true intentions. After hearing this, Gitanjali loses her cool and slaps him, causing the couple to argue.
Rashmika's reaction to the blow
After the scene, Rashmika went to Ranbir to console him. The actress said: 'After the series I actually cried. I hit him, I'm screaming, the chaos is going on, and I go to Ranbir, and I'm thinking, 'Was that okay? Are you OK?' We completed that series in half a day. I loved it, and at that moment I realized that this was the pinnacle of being an actor. People don't write series like this every time. I'm so glad I made this film and this series. I was surprised at myself.”
