Red Bull boss Christian Horner has been seen in public for the first time since denying an allegation of 'inappropriate behaviour' against him by a female colleague.

Spice Girl Geri Halliwell's husband appeared smiling, happy and at ease and was chatting to others as he was spotted enjoying a day out at the Point-to-Point races, Badbury Rings, in Dorset yesterday.

The pictures were created after a challenge Hoorner stressed that he will not be forced to leave Red Bull Racing and that he is the right person to lead the team into the upcoming Formula 1 season.

Horner, 50, strongly denied the allegation of 'inappropriate conduct' made against him by a female colleague, insisting it is 'absolutely business as normal' for the team.

Speaking at the Red Bull car launch in Milton Keynes, he said his team colleagues are 'hugely supportive', and shareholders are 'incredibly supportive'.

Horner added that he had been “overwhelmed” by messages of goodwill from the sport, and that he also had the support of his wife, Spice Girls singer Geri Halliwell.

In conversation with the BBC Radio 4 today program, he said: “First of all, I obviously deny the allegations that have been made, but I am going through a process and I fully respect that process. So for me it is 'business as normal', focused on the coming season.

'And of course it's a distraction for the team. But the team is very cohesive, they are very focused on the coming season and have supported us enormously. So I'm looking forward to the season ahead.”

Asked whether he should resign amid the investigation, Horner replied: “Well no, because I deny everything, all the allegations that have been made, so for me it's absolutely business as normal and I'm concentrating on the coming season.”

He was also asked if he stood behind his leadership at Red Bull Racing and said: 'Yes, absolutely.'

Asked if he is confident he will retain the full support of all owners, he replied: “Yes, I think we are one team. The shareholders have been incredibly supportive of the team, especially since the sad passing of Dietrich Mateschitz.

'And if you look around the campus here, you can see how many investments have been made. You know, the Powertrains coming in 2026, Red Bull Advanced Technologies, cars that we design here on campus.

'The team and the group are flourishing and enjoy strong shareholder support.'
