Jay Shah has announced that Rohit Sharma will captain the Indian team in the upcoming 2024 ICC T20 World Cup.
New Delhi: Rohit Sharma will lead the Indian cricket team in the upcoming edition of the 2024 ICC T20 World Cup in the West Indies and the US later this year. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah himself confirmed this while speaking at the renaming of the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium to the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot on February 14.
“We may have lost the final of the 2023 ODI World Cup. But we won hearts there by winning ten games in a row. I would like to say that I am confident that India will lift the 2024 T20 World Cup under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma in Barbados,” Shah said.
