Sam and Snezana Wood slam those who go to reality shows just for fame after couple appeared on The Bachelor: ‘It’s not what it used to be’

The Bachelor Sam and Snezana Wood have expressed their concerns about the current motivations of contestants on the reality dating show.

The couple, whose romance blossomed in front of millions in 2015, contrasted their heartfelt search for love with the fame-seeking contestants they observe today.

“It’s changed,” Snezana said Yahoo lifestyle on Monday. “It’s not what it used to be.”

Sam echoed his partner’s comments, noting a shift in the show’s dynamic since their time.

‘I feel like people don’t necessarily get involved with it [The Bachelor] now with the main goal of meeting someone. And I think the reason it worked so well with Snez and I was because we were actually hoping to meet someone,” he shared.

Their relationship, one of the franchise’s success stories, is a testament to their sincere approach.

Snez also insisted that they did not realize how much fame they would receive after the show and that they had no interest in being in the spotlight.

“We were naive to the things that would follow,” she said. ‘I had at least a hundred followers beforehand. I didn’t even know Instagram had such a thing, so that didn’t matter to me at all.’

‘It just takes the fun out of watching because you know why they are doing it [the show] so it’s not fun to watch. That’s probably why we don’t look at it, and it’s probably why a lot of relationships don’t work anymore.”

The couple has been together since they met on The Bachelor Australia in 2015.

They got engaged six months later and married in a beautiful ceremony in Byron Bay in 2018.
