Sarah Jessica Parker looked in good spirits as she was greeted by fans through the stage door of The Savoy Theater after her Plaza Suite performance on Monday.

The actress, 58, signed autographs and posed for selfies with fans before heading home for the evening.

She looked stylish in a black blazer which she wore over a matching shirt and accessorized with a long gold chain.

Sarah and husband Matthew Broderick, 61, who have been married for almost 30 years, made their West End debut in January playing Karen and Sam in romantic comedy Plaza Suite.

Although their performances were praised, the play received generally very negative reviews.

Plaza Suite is a three-act romantic comedy, each involving different couples living in Suite 719 of the Plaza Hotel in New York City.

Alice Saville of The Independent was not at all flattering, giving a lackluster two stars for her review of the play.

She mused: 'Real-life couple Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick can't save Neil Simon's dated rom-com.'

The Guardian labeled the piece as 'a circus of celebrities', with Arifa Akbar stirring up the audience's feverish excitement – complete with stealth phone use and prolonged applause – despite the piece's so-called 'flat and forgettable' form.

She wrote: 'The production actually seems to rely on the fame of the two stars. What a low, lazy bar for such a high price (some premium “package” seats reportedly sold for £395)… these are tough times for the arts, but commercial theater can certainly be braver than this.'

Sarah Hemming of The Financial Times gave three lukewarm stars, but placed more blame on the piece's age and vague writing style than on the stars.

She wrote, “More than fifty years later, comedy is outdated; every act, no matter how short, feels overloaded, while the scenes never really explore the loneliness and pain that can lurk beneath the comedy.”

Time Out's Andrzej Lukowski joined the crowd and commented on the ticket price, noting that it's Sarah's presence that justifies 'money printing' with the price.

Although both spouses have theater experience, only Matthew has been recognized for it, having twice received a Tony Award.

Sarah hasn't appeared on Broadway since 1995, when she took over the role of Rosemary Pillkington from Megan Mullally in How to Succeed in Business Without Real Trying.

Meanwhile, Matthew's last foray into theater was in 2019, when he made his West End debut in The Starry Messenger with Elizabeth McGovern.

Sarah recently completed filming And Just Like That…, a sequel to Sex And The City, which has been renewed for a third series.
