Saturday Night Live closes out 2023 with Adam Driver and Kate McKinnon hosting, while Olivia Rodrigo and Billie Eilish handle musical duties
NBC’s Saturday Night Live just revealed the hosts and musical guests for the final two original episodes of 2023.
And it turns out Lorne Michaels and company didn’t skimp on star power when planning the end of the season.
Marriage Story star Adam Driver will return as host of the sketch comedy show for a fourth time when he takes the stage on December 9.
The former Girls star is in the middle of his promotional tour for his new Michael Mann-directed biographical drama Ferrari, which hits theaters on Christmas Day.
The ever-popular SNL holiday show on December 16 will feature Kate McKinnon in her debut as host after her departure from the SNL cast a year and a half ago.

The long-running comedy show also announced that former cast member Kate McKinnon will host the December 16 season finale, with Billie Eilish as musical guest.

In addition to Driver, the December 9 show will also feature the music of pop star Olivia Rodrigo, who recently released her second studio album, Guts.
The three-time Grammy winner makes her second appearance on the legendary late-night show.
Released in late September, Guts topped the album charts in 14 countries, including the United States, Australia, Germany, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
She received a sales push behind her three hit singles on the record: Vampire, Bad Idea Right? and Get Him Back.
For Kate’s final episode, the master of impressions shares the stage with musical guest Billie Eilish.
Eilish is on a roll with her latest single, What Was I Made For?, which was featured on the Barbie soundtrack and earned five of her six Grammy nominations this year.
Despite being only 21 years old, the pop star is making her third appearance on SNL.
Since McKinnon played the role of Weird Barbie and Eilish was tasked with writing one of the songs for the hit movie’s soundtrack, fans can be treated to a hilarious Barbie-themed skit.
McKinnon, who was known in the main cast as a master of impressions, makes her hosting debut. Musical guest Billie Eilish is currently riding the success of her Barbie soundtrack single What Was I Made For?
Since McKinnon plays Weird Barbie and Eilish wrote one of the songs for the Barbie soundtrack, fans can be treated to a hilarious Barbie-themed sketch.
When asked why she decided to leave SNL during an appearance on Live With Kelly And Ryan, McKinnon revealed that it was simply time to move on to other endeavors after realizing her dream for more than a decade.
“I thought about it for a long time, and it was very, very difficult because all I wanted to do in my entire life was be on Saturday Night Live, and I did that,” she shared, before adding : ‘I’ve thought about it for a long time. loved it. I was having the best decade, and then I thought, my body was tired and it felt like it was time.’
While McKinnon saw her star rise as a cast member of SNL, she began receiving two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Comedy Series in 2012 (in 2016 and 2017).
As previously announced, The Curse star Emma Stone will host the December 2 episode, with Noah Kahan taking the stage as the evening’s musical guest.
