One of the photos was a selfie of her pouting at the camera, and the other was an aerial shot of her sitting on the ground with her legs stretched out.

Kyle, 64, imitated the photos perfectly, replicating Lorde’s poses and even donning a striped shirt that resembled her outfit in her photos.

“I listen to myself,” he wrote alongside his photos, imitating her caption and leaving no doubt about the purpose of his gentle jab.

The record also did well commercially, peaking at number five on the US Billboard 200 chart.

Lorde also embarked on a tour in support of the album, which kicked off last April and ended last March.
