Shannen Doherty reopened the chat about her Charmed fighting with Alyssa Milano. As she sat in between, she read a prepared response to Milano Charmed alums Rose McGowan And Holly Marie Combs on Sunday, February 4.

“A lot of things have been said, and a lot of them are very hurtful,” Doherty, 52, explained to fans at MegaCon, a fan convention in Florida, using images on social media. “I'm now going to read something I wrote for all of you last night.”

Reading from her phone, Doherty said, “Holly and I weren't mean on the podcast, my podcast 'Let's Be Clear.' In fact, we went in and edited whatever we thought would cause more drama. We simply told the truth, because the truth really matters. But we wanted to try to save you, the fans, from heartbreak as much as possible. At this point in my life, with my health diagnosis – sorry if I start crying – while battling a horrific disease every day of my life, it is also incredibly important to me that the truth is actually told, as opposed to the story that others say. out there for me. We told it together. We have told our truths and we stand by our truths.”

She was visibly emotional as she continued, responding directly to Milano's recent claims. “There is no revisionist history taking place in the truth that I know we have told. There is no swinging of brushes or shoes. There is no delay in setting up. There is no mediator for months,” Doherty said. “I remember the facts as if I were still living in them. And what I'm saying is that for me, what someone else might call “drama” is a real trauma that I've been living through for a long time. And it's only during my battle with cancer that I decided to address this trauma and be open and honest about it so that I can actually heal from a livelihood that was taken from me, a livelihood that was taken from my family, because someone otherwise wanted to be number 1 on the call sheet. That is the truth.”

McGowan, 50, echoed the sentiment that they had been quiet for a long time so fans could continue to enjoy the show. “We've been protecting you for a long time,” McGowan said. “We did it as long as we could, and there's a great comedian named Katt Williams, who has a great, great saying: 'Winners don't let losers rewrite history.'”

Milano, 51, was also at MegaCon this weekend and took part in a Who is the boss? panel on Saturday, but she did not reunite with Combs, McGowan and Doherty, who reunited for a Charmed panel on Sunday.

Doherty's statement followed a series of cryptic Instagram posts that seemed to indicate she disagreed with Milano's recollection. “#TheTruthMatters,” Doherty wrote on Saturday, February 3, via Instagram Story, where the hashtag appeared on a solid black background.

Just hours earlier, Milano took to Instagram to deny Doherty's recent allegations that she was responsible for the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum gets fired Charmed.

“I don't know of any other show that has had such success Charmed where the cast still speaks poorly of the experience a quarter of a century later. For me, this was fifteen movies and thirteen TV shows ago,” Milano wrote via Instagram on Saturday. “This was 11 years before my 15-year marriage and 13 years before I had my first child. This was so long ago that any retelling of these stories by anyone is merely revisionist history.”

The power of three will free us… from everything but drama. Premiering on The WB in 1998, Charmed made headlines from the start when Aaron Spelling hired Shannen Doherty to play one of the three Halliwell sisters, four years after she was infamously let go from Spelling Television's Beverly Hills , 90210.[Aaron] […]

She continued: “However, I will add with absolute certainty: everything was documented. There was a professional mediator. … A regular producer/babysitter who were both called in to investigate all claims. Then, after gathering testimonials from cast AND crew, this mediator recommended what changes should be made if the show were to go ahead.

Shannen Doherty cryptically says the truth matters after Alyssa Milano denies she was fired

Doherty and colleague Charmed star Holly Marie Combs previously alleged in a December 2023 episode of Doherty's podcast 'Let's Be Clear' that Milano allegedly refused to film Charmed season 4 with Doherty and gave an ultimatum that only one of them could stay on the show. Milano closed the claims.

“I didn't have the power to get anyone fired. When Shannen left, we had five more successful seasons and I am forever grateful,” Milano added. “As always, I wish Holly, Shannen and Rose [McGowan], peace and light in their personal and professional journeys. We all have bigger demons to fight.”

Doherty also seemingly responded to Milano's comments by reposting two cryptic quotes to her Instagram Story.

“They tell you: 'I would neverrr.' [sic] do that to you' and then they do it with a remix,” read one anonymous quote.

Meanwhile, a second exclaimed narcissistic behavior. “Narcissists know how to charm the people around the victim, so they think the narcissist is a nice person,” said the quote, attributed to Maria Consiglio. “So when the victim complains about the abuse, no one believes them.”

Doherty did not confirm what she meant by sharing the messages.

Doherty, Milano and Combs, now 50, starred as the three Halliwell sisters in The WB's Charmed at the premiere in 1998. (Milan had replaced Lori Rom as youngest sibling Phoebe after the pilot.) Doherty only appeared in the first three seasons of the show about the witches' coven and her character was killed off in the season 3 finale. McGowan replaced Doherty the following season, playing the long-lost half-sister Paige.
