Sharon Osbourne talks about when she met her husband Ozzy Osbourne had a four-year affair with hairdresser Michelle Pugh.
“He always had groupies and I was so used to that,” Sharon, 71, said during her Sharon Osbourne: Cut The Crap show in London on Sunday, January 21, according to the British channel The mirror. “But if he knows the person's name, where they live and where they work… it's a whole different thing when you're emotionally involved. I took, I don't know how many pills.”
Sharon recalled believing that her children were “older” and had the ability to “take care of themselves” without her.
“So I overdosed and locked myself in the bedroom,” she continued. 'The maid tried to come in to clean [the] room and saw me.”
Sharon married Ozzy, 75, in 1982. The couple share children Aimee, 40, Kelly, 39, and Jack, 38. (Ozzy is also father to daughter Jessica, 51, and son Louis, 49, with ex-wife Thelma Riley .)
After 33 years of marriage, Sharon and Ozzy briefly split in 2016 amid reports of his affair with Pugh. However, in July 2016, Sharon told the story The conversation viewers that she had forgiven Ozzy for his infidelity. (Sharon presented The conversation from 2010 to 2021.)
'I shouldn't speak for him. I know he still wants to come on this show and talk to all of you for himself,” she said at the time. “He feels he owes everyone here an apology because he helped us all through it. He is very ashamed of his behavior.”
Sharon went on to say that it would “take a long time for him to trust him again.” “I just can't think about my life without him,” she added.
For his part, Ozzy called cheating on Sharon one of the more “outrageous” things he has done in the public eye.
“I regret cheating on my wife,” the musician said GQ in November 2020. “I don't do it anymore.”
He continued, “I got my reality check and I'm lucky she didn't leave me. I'm not proud of that. I was angry with myself. But I broke her heart.”
Both Sharon and Ozzy have been open about the ups and downs they've experienced during their relationship. She recalled their “legendary” fights during a September 2021 interview with the Daily email.
“We would beat each other up,” she claimed. “Maybe it stopped 20 years ago, but we had a good run.”
