Legendary actress Shirley MacLaine appeared in good spirits Friday afternoon as she enjoyed lunch with a friend at Kristy’s in Malibu, just two months after receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2023 Industry Dance Awards.

While dining at the celebrity hotspot, overlooking Zuma Beach, the Oscar winner, 89, had some courage as she sat outside and chatted with her boyfriend.

This is the second time the Terms of Endearment star has gone to the popular Malibu restaurant, where she stays when she’s not at her ranch near Santa Fe.

For the laid-back outing, the mother-of-one wore oversized brown sunglasses, which shielded her blue eyes from the sun, a purple “Malibu” sweatshirt, dark wash jeans and red loafers.

Her latest sighting comes after the television and film star was honored at the 2023 Industry Dance Awards & Cancer Benefit Show.

Although MacLaine, who turns 90 in April, needs a healthcare assistant these days, she doesn’t shy away from industry events or red carpets.

She was seen radiant on the red carpet at the October 19 event, where she looked as stylish as ever in a floral embroidered black blazer, black trousers and black flats.

With a deep-rooted history in dance, MacLaine received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the ceremony, presented to her by actress Annette Bening, 65.

The two are actually sisters-in-law, with Bening married to MacLaine’s brother, fellow Hollywood star Warren Beatty, 86.

After posing solo for photographers, she also snuggled up with Bening for another round of photos, and again with Peter Levine, who appeared to be her date for the evening.

MacLaine’s on-screen career spans more than seven decades, winning her first Oscar in 1984 for her leading role in Terms of Endearment.

Hoping to become a ballerina, MacLaine (born Shirley MacLean Beaty) took up ballet in 1937 when she was just three years old, as a means of strengthening her weak ankles.

The Richmond, Virginia, native eventually moved to New York City to try her hand at acting the summer before her senior year of high school, which resulted in her minor success in the choir of Oklahoma!

After graduation, she returned to Manhattan and landed a spot in the dancing ensemble of the Broadway production of the musical Me And Juliet (1953-1954) at the Majestic Theater.

She came to fame in Around The World In The Trouble With Harry (1955), 80 Days (1956), Some Came Running (1958), Ask Any Girl (1959), The Apartment (1960), The Children’s Hour (1961), Irma la Douce (1963) and Sweet Charity (1969).

Eventually, MacLaine landed one of the leading roles in the drama film The Turning Point (1977), which focused on the New York City ballet world and featured choreography by George Balanchine and the famed Alvin Ailey, who founded the Alvin Ailey American Dance. Theater that is still running.

One of MacLaine’s most memorable performances was in 1989’s Steel Magnolias, alongside Daryl Hannah, Olympia Dukakis, Julia Roberts, Dolly Parton and Sally Field.

MacLaine has been nominated for six Academy Awards during her illustrious career: five for Best Actress and once for Best Documentary for her 1976 film The Other Half of the Sky.

She has also won six Golden Globes and an Emmy for Gypsy in My Soul.
