‘Sister Wives 1-on-1’ Recap: Christine Brown’s Husband David Appears

Christine Brown‘s husband, David Woolleymade his Sister Wives: 1-on-1 debuted during Part 4 of the tell-all — and he had his wife’s support the entire time.

During the Sunday, December 17 episode, David responded Kody Brown‘s claim that Christine, 51, was “Machiavellian” throughout their marriage.

“The experience I had was Machiavellian. If she isn’t 1702894717then she is in love,” Kody, 54, told the host Sukanya Krishnannoting that he stands by his previous claim that Christine was devious or acted in bad faith before their 2021 split. “Unless she’s Machiavellian and gets away with her husband, which will be very normal in any kind of marriage.”

Kody added: “[In] Maybe if we all become friends in the next few years, David will pull me aside [going], “Dude, this is crazy,” because he complains about his wife. And I’ll say, ‘Dude, be loyal to your wife. Don’t talk to me about it.’ Because guys normally like to complain to each other about their wives.”

David, who married Christine in October, said during his first appearance on camera that he doesn’t see his wife in the same way as Kody. ‘He’s absolutely wrong [about] that she’s conniving and all that. No, she’s not at all. I don’t see that,” he explained. “And I’m a people person. I can read people. She’s not like that at all. She’s really good.”

David joked that sometimes Christine is “a little clueless about things that could mean [go] on,” and said, “I’m like, ‘Christine!’ But as for her conspiracy, no.” David, a father of eight, then gave his honest opinion about Kody.

“He wears his emotions on his sleeve,” he said of Christine’s ex, with whom she shares six children. “Would I be like that? No. He wants you to hear him.”

Christine reveals that she identifies with Cruella de Vil

Throughout season 18 of Sister women, Christine and Kody sat down to discuss their divorce and how they would move forward as exes. The lunch took place after Kody overcame a tough battle with COVID-19, which Christine awkwardly laughed about.

‘She makes fun of everything that has to do with my pain. I have stumbled, I have fallen. This [has] I literally unraveled my family and destroyed all my dreams,” Kody said on Sunday’s tell-all, reflecting on the awkward conversation. And she rides off into the sunset to a happier life. And I’m not sitting here picking up the pieces, just where I’m going, “Well, I guess I need to figure out what my life is like.”

Christine made no apologies for making fun of Kody during one of his dark times. In fact, she felt free at that moment. “I’ve always loved the Disney villains more than the princesses. I just have. So there I was thinking, ‘You know what? I have hidden so much from you, so much. And I’m going to laugh,” she recalled, revealing that Cruella is her favorite villain.

“I thought [of] Emma Stone Being Cruella [2021’s Cruella]. And I said, ‘Yeah, that’s kind of crazy,'” Christine continued, noting that she could finally “just be me” after leaving Kody.

‘Could I just be myself with Kody sometimes? No, he didn’t like that. He just wanted me to be positive. He just wanted me to be nice. He only loved the fun, little, bubbly part of me. she claimed. “Well, guess what? He doesn’t understand that I’m no longer married to him. I don’t have to just say, “Oh, I’m so sorry.” I did not feel well. I’m not going to fill it up [in] not anymore.”

Kody doesn’t blame Christine for the family breakdown

Despite their dramatic breakup, Kody doesn’t think Christine is responsible for “destroying” his bigger family picture. “That’s all my fault because I married a woman I didn’t love,” Kody admitted. “No, that’s the truth. And she knows that. No matter how hard I worked at it, dug in and went [all in on] Any devotion I could have, which still prevailed with us, never really worked.

After his breakup with Christine, Kody divorced his second wife Janelle Brown in 2022. His first wife, Meri Brownconfirmed their divorce in January, leaving Kody legally married to a fourth wife Robin Brown.

Robyn wants permission from sister wives to live monogamously

Kody was adamant during the tell-all that he “wouldn’t be interested” in adding another sister wife to his family, revealing that he’s content with Robyn, 45. “I should tell [new] woman: ‘I will never love you as much as I love her’ because now I know better,’ he said.

Meri, 52, confessed that she is sure Robyn is “very sad” about the break-up of their plural family. “I don’t know what it would be like if I was the one left standing,” she said, noting, “If [Kody] loves Robyn so much that he can let all three of us go, that’s on him, not her.”

However, Robyn admitted that she was conflicted about being in a monogamous relationship with Kody after committing to their plural family. “It’s weird to be loving and respectful to Kody [alone],” she said. “I just don’t know how this works exactly. It’s weird. I feel like it’s disrespectful. That feels disrespectful to be happy with Kody.”

While the show’s host told Robyn that all her sister wives wanted her to be “happy” with Kody, Robyn couldn’t get past the vows she made. “I need an off-camera camera [chat] to my face [for permission] because I don’t know how [to move on]. It feels like it’s disrespectful to his children. It feels disrespectful to the commitments I made,” she explained. “My commitment to them over this family has not been broken, and I don’t know how to break it.”

Christine manifested husband David

David revealed that when he showed Christine’s dating profile to his daughter, “she thought I was being catfished”, and admitted that he knew who Christine was before their first date. “When I met her, it was instant,” he recalls. “We talked for hours. No drama. Believe it or not.”

David sat next to Christine as they watched a scene Sister women in which Christine described her ideal man. “As for the body, the look I want [is] bald, tattoos and riding motorcycles. That is the vision,” Christine said earlier.

David, for his part, is bald and has tattoos, one of which has an appropriate design of Christine, which means ‘new beginning’ in Celtic. “She found out I had a motorcycle and she kind of fell to the ground,” David said on the tell-all. “I did have one. That was strange, [she manifested me].”

Why Kody can’t forgive Christine yet

After watching a video of Christine telling her children that Kody “wasn’t attracted to her” during their marriage, Kody was unhappy. “That scene bothers me because she’s asking my kids to take her side,” he admitted. “Maybe I’m just delusional, but then again, I kind of have a problem with her[ting] my children against me to gain favor with her. And that is what I see happening there.”

Kody continued, “I was attached to her and in my children’s eyes, I was there and with her. She told them I wasn’t. What she did was wrong and I’m happy for her and her life and that she’s moving forward and that she’s going to find love. I’m happy for that. But I can’t forgive, at least not right now, that she turned my children against me in a very subtle but real way. That bothers me.”

Meri is “OK” with not being invited to Christine’s wedding

Part 4 of the season 18 special was filmed ahead of Christine and David’s wedding in October. When the wedding took place, Janelle, 54, and her six children, as well as five of Christine’s children and Meri’s child, Leon, were all in attendance.

Meri wasn’t on the guest list and that was fine with her. “I’m fine with it because a wedding is a very special moment and you don’t want to have any problems that they don’t want,” Meri said at the tell-all. “And I wouldn’t want to bring that, you know, kind of conflict of emotions to Christine’s wedding. I wouldn’t want that for her. I’m really okay with that.”

Janelle is not open to a reconciliation with Kody

‘I don’t foresee us ever reconciling. I don’t,” Janelle opened up about her and Kody’s post-split dynamic. “It would be some sort of magical fairy tale where we all turned into sort of different people, and that doesn’t happen in real life.”

Janelle noted that friendship is still on the table for the exes. “I still have such high regard for him. And I can remember all the good times, but I don’t want to reconcile,” she added.

The cast reveals their celebrity crushes

In the final few moments of the TLC special, some stars enjoyed their celebrity crushes. “God, I have to think about it. Oh, Gerard Butler is always an option for me,” Janelle revealed, adding Jason Momoa is also dreamy.

Meri described her ideal partner as “tall,” before sharing, “I mean, Matthew McConaughey has always been my celebrity crush. Kody pointed Sophia Loren as his favorite crush of all time.

He also told viewers that it is Robyn’s choice Ryan Reynolds. “That’s why I have six-pack abs now, because I have to keep the competition going with Ryan Reynolds,” Kody joked.
