Fletcher received two yellow cards within a minute, earning him contempt Sky Sports commentator Johnny Phillips.

When asked what was going on at The Den, he said: “Possibly the worst replacement performance I've ever seen from Ashley Fletcher.

“He came on and was shown a yellow card for wasting time when he kicked the ball away for a throw-in.

“And the very next one What he did was lose possession to Ryan Longman and in the name of trying to win it back he fouled him and was promptly shown a second yellow card and sent off.”
