Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello settle for divorce

According to documents obtained by TMZ on Friday, February 9, the former couple both waived their right to alimony, and will reportedly “keep the assets they have individually built up over the course of their seven years together.”
In July 2023, Manganiello, 47, and Vergara, 51, who married in November 2015, announced their divorce.
“We have made the difficult decision to divorce,” the couple wrote in a joint statement posted to Instagram at the time. “As two people who love and care for each other deeply, we politely ask that our privacy be respected at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives.”

Manganiello filed for divorce from Vergara on July 19, 2023, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split, according to court documents obtained by We weekly. The actor listed the date of separation as July 2, 2023. In August 2023, Vergara asked the court to enforce the former couple's prenuptial agreement and for assets, including artwork, jewelry and “other personal belongings” to remain under her ownership.
Vergara has opened up about her divorce during an ongoing press tour for the Netflix miniseries Griselda. She acknowledged this during an interview on CBS Sunday morning last month that she knew there would be questions about her divorce from Manganiello.
“You're out there and people know that's part of being a celebrity,” the Modern Family alum said. “I knew it was going to happen. You can't hide those things.'
She noted that she was “surprised” by the “respectful” coverage of her uncoupling. “It wasn't bad. I think I would have to say that the press was very respectful and very kind,” Vergara continued. “They just said what it was, and that was it. And you know what, I've moved on.”
