Streatham fire: Woman, 34, and man, 47, arrested on suspicion of murder after fatal bedroom fire

A woman, 34, and a man, 47, were arrested on Monday.

One neighbor near the crime scene in Streatham, South Londonsaid: “There were just plumes of black smoke and fire engines, it felt like chaos.”

Police have started an investigation but are treating it as an isolated incident and collected CCTV footage on Monday.

Det Chief Insp Kate Blackburn said yesterday: “The scene of the fire has undergone extensive forensic examination to help us understand how the fire started.”
