Carl Radke And Lindsay Hubbard‘s split surprised many fans, but season 8 of Summer house still proves that a breakup was inevitable.
We weekly confirmed in August 2023 that Carl, 39, called off his and Lindsay’s engagement a year after his proposal. Lindsay, 37, later shared Us she was “completely blindsided” by the breakup and claimed Carl “blew up my whole life” when he ended their romance.
“It was absolutely humiliating,” she exclusively revealed in November 2023, noting that Carl pulled the plug after filming ended. Lindsay claimed that Carl had the producers “set up cameras and manipulated me into sitting down” so he could break up with her on camera.

Solo wedding planning
During the Season 8 premiere, which aired on February 22, Carl and Lindsay revealed that they skipped the Fourth of July in the Hamptons to celebrate the holiday at the White House. Although they seemed to be in good spirits, Lindsay confessed that she was overwhelmed by planning their wedding alone.
“Planning a wedding is busy, to say the least. Carl, God bless him, he hasn’t been helpful,” Lindsay told the cameras, joking, “This isn’t my wedding, it’s our wedding. So a little help would be nice!”
Lindsay confessed that she was “excited about this little break in wedding planning” and out of New York City as the couple headed to Washington, D.C.
In the name of Babe
Throughout their relationship, which turned romantic in the fall of 2021, Carl and Lindsay never shied away from PDA. They were also known for calling each other “honey” whenever possible, much to the chagrin of some of their housemates.
Carl received an icy response during episode 2, which was filmed in early July 2023, when he made a joke about their nicknames. “I’m not going to say ‘honey’ this summer. I’m going to say ‘dude,’” he said, causing Lindsay to sigh in frustration.
‘Do you really care what people think of you? Do you call me home honey? she shot back. Carl responded saying, “I was joking. It did not work.” Lindsay agreed, adding, “Yes, it didn’t work.”
‘Cocaine Carl’
Tensions between Lindsay and Carl reached a boiling point at the end of episode 2, which aired on February 29. During a car ride to a club, Lindsay claims she told Carl she was “concerned” that the girls might have a problem with her driving. in the boys’ car.
“I’m as calm as I can be sitting in the backseat with her and I say, you’re doing fine. I can see that, but it’s not that deep,” Carl said in a confessional, claiming that’s when Lindsay flipped a switch. “She looks at me up close and says, ‘What are you doing?’ I’m like, ‘Nothing, what are you talking about.’”

A drunken Lindsay decided to leave the club and go home Gabby Prescod. Once back at the house, Lindsay claimed, “There’s something going on with him. The way he spoke to me tonight was very reminiscent of Carl on cocaine. I don’t know what happened to him, but he wasn’t sober tonight.”
Lindsay insisted her then-fiancé was ‘cocaine Carl tonight’ as she cried to Gabby in her bed. Even though the rest of the group thought Carl was sober — he has been sober since January 2021 — Lindsay wouldn’t let it go.
‘You’re the one who is [been] he drinks all night and wakes up really angry,” Carl argued when Lindsay entered his room the next morning. “You’re the one clearly doing other things,” she fired back, accusing him of drug use again. Carl shouted back, “Lindsay, I’m fucking sober!” He then accused her of being ‘rude and aggressive’ towards him.
