Sunrise’s Natalie Barr fears Royal Tell-All Endgame will ‘ruin’ peace talks between Prince Harry and King Charles amid resurfaced racism claims

Sunrise co-host Natalie Barr has expressed her concerns about the fallout from Omid Scobie’s royal ruling.

Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Fight for Survival contains many salacious accusations about the royal family, including new information about the racist row over the skin color of Prince Archie of Sussex.

During an interview with royal writer and podcaster Russell Myers on Tuesday, Barr admitted she worried the book would destroy a possible reconciliation between Prince Harry and King Charles III.

“Wasn’t it only a week ago that we heard that Harry might be trying to reconnect with his father?” she asked.

“This book is going to ruin everything, isn’t it?” she added, visibly concerned.

The racism row sparked after Meghan Markle claimed in a 2021 TV special that an unnamed member of the royal family talked about “how dark his (Archie) skin might be when he’s born.”

But now Scobie’s Endgame claims that a second member of the extended royal family – who may not be a member of the royal family themselves – made similar comments.

The two people are not mentioned in Endgame, which is subtitled ‘Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Fight for Survival’.

But Scobie claimed this week that letters between King Charles III and Meghan reveal the names of two people who allegedly commented on Archie’s skin color.

The royal author said he could not reveal the identities of the two people for fear of legal reprisals in Britain.

But he said letters had been exchanged between Charles and Meghan following the allegations in the Sussexes’ interview with Oprah Winfrey.

In an interview with ABC’s Good Morning America broadcast this week, Mr Scobie was asked if he knew who made the comments about Archie’s skin colour.

He said: ‘I know who made the comments about Archie’s skin colour. The names were mentioned in letters between Meghan and Charles that were exchanged some time after the Oprah interview.

“We know from sources that Charles was shocked that Meghan felt this way. Those conversations were, and he wanted to be, a kind of representative of the family, having that conversation with her.

“And that’s why I personally think they can move forward with some kind of line of communication after that. Even though they may not agree.”

Scobie’s claims threaten to reignite the “royal racist” row that emerged after Harry and Meghan’s interview.
