A FIT MOM has shared a tasty recipe that won't get in the way of your weight loss goals.
She said her high-protein queso dip will be a hit at your next Super Bowl party.
Health coach Bre Gachne (@bregachne_) lost 35 pounds after having a baby with proper nutrition and consistent exercise.
She documents her weight loss journey online in many of her videos and shares tips for a healthy lifestyle.
Bre taught viewers in a TikTok video how to make her protein-rich queso dip that the whole company will enjoy.
“The Super Bowl is just around the corner and you're on a fat loss, weight loss, health and wellness journey, but you don't want to miss out on your favorite snacks,” she said.
She immediately jumped in to show viewers how to make the side dish.
She started by placing lean ground beef in a nonstick pan.
“I use as lean as I can get, 97/3 to reduce the fat content, and some taco seasoning,” she said.
HIGH PROTEIN QUESO DIP INGREDIENTS
- Lean ground beef
- Package of taco seasoning
- Rotel green peppers can be cut into cubes
- One cup of skim milk
- One tablespoon of flour
- Two cups of reduced-fat Mexican fiesta cheese
- One cup of Greek yogurt
The ground beef consisted of 97% lean meat and 7% fat.
In another pan she filled it with a can of the Rotel diced tomatoes and green peppers$1.79 at Target.
Bre then topped it off with a cup of skim milk and a tablespoon of flour.
She continued whisking until the mixture began to boil.
To give it a cheesy texture, she added two cups of low-fat, finely grated Mexican fiesta cheese and a cup of Greek yogurt.
“That Greek yogurt will have more protein than normal,” she said.
“Proteins are not stored in the body in the same way as other macronutrients such as carbohydrates and fats,” she also advised in a caption.
“Mix that together, add your beef and enjoy,” she said.
