A supercomputer has predicted the Premier League final… and it's not good news for Manchester United.

It's wide open at both the top and bottom of the table, with only two points between the top three and three points between 15th and 18th.

But Betfred have tried to cut through the uncertainties by figuring out what they think the final table will be.

They have compiled the average points collected by the clubs in their last ten matches – with Luton's being based on the average of the bottom three teams – to decipher what the table will look like in May.

It will come as no surprise to fans that Manchester City are expected to win the league for the fifth time in six seasons, beating current table toppers Liverpool by just two points.

Arsenal are tipped for third place despite their win over Liverpool last weekend, with Tottenham six points behind their north London rivals in fourth.

That means Man Utd could miss out on Champions League football if they finish fifth, four points above Unai Emery's Aston Villa, who will slide from fourth to sixth.

Fifth place could still qualify for the Champions League depending on England's coefficient at the end of the season, which will be influenced by the performance of Premier League teams in Europe this season.

Sheffield United and Burnley are expected to return to the Championship with a points total of 27 and 30 respectively.

Everton are predicted to climb out of the bottom three and finish in 15th place.

But the supercomputer's calculations have shown that Nuno Espirito Santo's Nottingham Forest will end up in the bottom three.

According to the data, The Tricky Trees will finish level on 35 points with Luton but will be relegated due to their goal difference.
