Taylor Swift fans were furious after a woman used music discovery app Shazam during the pop star’s concert in Sydney.

TikTok user nessatlx shared a video of the concertgoer holding her phone in the air and using the app to find a song title as the singer performed Champagne Problems.

However, many fans expressed their anger on social media, claiming that the woman should not have attended the concert if she did not know the pop star’s songs.

“This is why we couldn’t get tickets because Karen knew Shake it Off and ‘Shakespeare’s’,” wrote one disappointed fan.

β€œAnd meanwhile I cry myself to sleep every night because I miss the most iconic historical event that will ever exist in my life,” said another.

“I lost a ticket for that?” another fan responded.

One person said: ‘I swear there should be a mini quiz before you buy a ticket to solve.’

However, other fans defended the woman, suggesting that she may have attended the concert with her daughter and was not familiar with all the songs.

“This is actually so sweet πŸ™ I’m sure she came with her daughter or someone else and realized how beautiful Taylor’s lyricism is,” someone commented.

‘Imagine you are her. Imagine her experience falling in love with this masterpiece live for the first time. What a truly blessed experience she is having,” said another.

β€œI went to 1989 with my mother, who probably only knew the words to Shake It Off and Love Story. I’m still glad I took her when I was fifteen. You don’t have to know the lyrics to every song to get a ticket,” a third agreed.
