Footage has emerged of a wild brawl at Merivale’s Ivy Pool Club

Shocking footage has captured the moment more than a dozen men became embroiled in a huge brawl at an exclusive rooftop bar packed with customers.

The wild scenes broke out at the Pool Club in Sydney’s Merivale Ivy Precinct, on George Street, on Sunday evening.

Shocked onlookers filmed the fight and shared the footage on Instagram.

One video showed several men exchanging punches before the brawl escalated, with as many as a dozen revelers joining just meters away from the edge of the pool.

A bystander could be heard shouting “the fight has started” as things flared up.

Shocked women watched as some of the fighting men tried to pull away.

In another online video clip of the same incident, titled ‘Seriously, what a mess’, a group of men are seen pushing, stomping and kicking a man lying in the club’s orange seating area.

The victim managed to get up and crawled away.

Another video showed him trying to escape to the venue’s famous pool in the center of the bar before being punched in the face, causing him to fall backwards into the water.

Security guards eventually intervened and helped the man back up before another person kicked him in the face again and left him behind. was bleeding from his left eye. He was later taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries.

Another video posted online showed a separate brawl between two women in lounge chairs.

As two security guards led the concussed man out of the venue, revelers involved in the brawl resumed dancing in ‘post fight bliss’, according to onlookers who shared footage online.

It is not yet known what caused the incident.

“A 23-year-old man has been taken to St Vincent’s Hospital where he is being treated for a concussion, a cut to his left eye and other injuries,” a police spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia.

“He is described as being in a stable condition.”

An investigation has been launched to determine the identity of the police involved in the incident, which took place on Sunday evening around 6 p.m.

The Ivy is owned by pub baron Justin Hemmes as part of his Merivale empire.

The venue prides itself on being the city’s ‘ultimate party destination’.

“Sydney’s favorite poolside destination comes alive after dark, with live entertainment, unique parties and the occasional splash,” according to the website.

‘When the sun goes away, we play at the ivy. This is your one-stop destination for a fun night out.”

A lavish party marks the official opening of Ivy’s Pool Club in 2008.

The incident occurred during a Sunset Bros DJ set, which ran from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.
