Fans have taken to social media to reveal a crazy moment that took place during Taylor's Swift's record-breaking show in Melbourne on Friday.

Taylor took to the stage as footage of the Women's cricket Test match between Australia and South Africa was projected onto boxed television screens at the concert, which was ironically held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Photos shared with X (formerly Twitter) show SA bowler Anneke Bosch preparing to bowl a delivery – while Taylor plays a tune in the background.

“Trust the MCG to still have the cricket on at the Taylor concert,” the user shared.

Several fans took to the comments to share their thoughts on the wild moment.

“Only in Australia,” one user commented.

“This is brilliant,” another added.

Channel Seven AFL commentator Georgie Parker saw the funny side of the bizarre incident that took place after Australian all-rounder Annabel Sutherland scored a double century in Friday's Test in Perth.

The former hockey champion posted a screenshot of Taylor looking into the distance with a “shocked” expression and captioned the image: “Taylor sees Annabel Sutherland's double barrel.”

Meanwhile, the Australian women's cricket team added: 'Lucky Swifties.'

A cricket watcher also posted: 'It's a women's Test match, of course it should go ahead.'

Another X user seemed relieved that the multi-purpose stadium was returning to its roots: “It's about time people watched cricket there.”

It comes after behind-the-scenes details about Taylor's MCG recently emerged.

The 34-year-old global megastar was wheeled FBI-style to the stadium on Friday afternoon, just hours before taking the stage.

A procession of blacked-out Land Rovers were seen driving down Brunton Ave towards the venue's underground car park, one of which carried the Shake It Off star.

Fans have been eagerly awaiting Taylor to take the stage on her first Australian tour since 2018, flocking to the venue early amid Swiftie mania.

Thousands of the pop star's fans poured into the arena two hours before the show's start at 6:30 p.m. in an attempt to avoid the long lines to get in.

Taylor Swift took the stage just after 7pm on Friday evening for the first show of her Australian leg of the tour in front of a dazzling crowd of 96,000 concertgoers.

“My name is Taylor and I will be your host tonight,” she said as she kicked off the highly anticipated show.

“I'm completely blown away that so many people wanted to hang out with us on a Friday night in Melbourne!”

Meanwhile, Taylor made the change during the Women's Test in Perth, where the Australian took a commanding lead of 9 out for 575, against South Africa's score of just 67 runs and three wickets.

It was the highest score in a single day in Women's Test cricket.
