Taylor Swift may be a billionaire, but she’s still a recognizable queen.
Since I started with her Eras tour in March, Swift wowed fans and critics alike with her impressive record-breaking concert, which lasted over three and a half hours and saw the singer perform a setlist of 44 songs divided into 10 acts. The tour has already reportedly earned $1.04 billion, spawned its own movie and catapulted Swift to billionaire status.
Although she is a master of her craft and an undeniable professional, her relatability is a big part of what fans have admired about Swift. The singer hasn’t been afraid to admit mistakes made during many of her concerts, leading Swifties to lovingly joke about them The Eras tour is The error tour.

When she proved she’s still ‘Swift AF’
When a platform broke down during her Reputation When Swift failed to lower herself under the stage at the Cincinnati stop, she sprinted past her dancers to reach the backstage.
After Paycor Stadium concertgoers captured the moment on video, Swift took to social media to poke fun at herself. “Still quick boi,” she commented under a TikTok clip of the incident.
When she had haircut problems
Before performing “Champagne Problems” in Denver, Swift gave her hair a stern talking to when it refused to behave. “Excuse me,” she said to her unruly hairdo. “This is not acceptable. There are 73,000 people here!”

When she choked on a bug
Another Always era whoopsie occurred when she swallowed a bug at Chicago’s Soldier Field. When she went to talk to the crowd, she started coughing furiously and told the crowd, “I swallowed a bug, I’m so sorry.”
As fans erupted in laughter, she joked: “Is there a chance none of you saw that? It is well. I swallowed it.”
That wasn’t the only cough-related issue Swift suffered from. She also noticed that she couldn’t talk during one Lover An era dawned when she suddenly lost her voice.
“You know when you’re not sick, there’s no bug flying down your throat, you just start talking and it doesn’t work?” she asked before reassuring the audience: “It’s over now, it’s over now, it’s fine.”
When she had an electric touch
Swifts Reputation set in Mexico City went viral when fans noticed the static in the air, causing the singer’s hair to stand on end. Some Swifties joked about her gravity-defying flyaways, while others worried the static was a bad omen. (The National Weather Service claims that hair standing on end can sometimes be a sign that lightning is about to strike someone, but that wasn’t the case here. She was fine!)
When she couldn’t dive
Swift stunned fans with her swan dive optical illusion. She jumps onto the stage after her surprise songs are played, where the singer throws her head into an inflatable bag after a green light gives her the go-ahead.
However, during a performance in Tampa, Swift was stranded when the hatch failed to open. As the splashing sound effect of her dive went off, Swift had nowhere to jump and shouted, “The f-k?” to the ground. Finally the door gave way and she gracefully made her way out late.
When her garter was the problem
A second accident in Tampa occurred when Swift noticed that her garter had broken while she was walking Midnights era. While singing her hit single “Anti-Hero,” Swift walked over to her backup singers and pointed out the broken accessory and asked for help. As her team fixed the clothing mishap, Swift continued the song, singing the lyrics, “I can’t be left behind, I’m in a crisis.”
When her microphone broke down
While executing the Lover During the Chicago portion of the show, Swift’s pastel microphone stopped working. When she tried to shout into it to see if the audience could hear her, the concertgoers were met with silence.
After doing everything she could to fix the problem — including hitting and shaking the microphone as hard as she could — a member of her crew came out and gave her a simple black backup microphone to continue the concert to put.
When she was chased by broken instruments
After a particularly intense rain show in Foxborough, Massachusetts, Swift’s piano scared both her and the audience when it started playing random, eerie notes on its own.
‘This is what happened. So it rained a lot last night, like a monsoon. To be precise, it rained for three and a half hours straight, and it just kept getting more and more rain,” Swift explained while sitting at the piano during the set of surprise songs. “It was literally a water park under the stage. You have no idea.”
When the instrument began to play unprompted, Swift asked the audience, “Did you hear that?” Do you hear the piano?” Before pointing out that she didn’t play the notes herself.
Ultimately, the pop star decided to reverse the plan. “Okay, I’m just going to play another song on guitar. That’s insane,” she said.
When she wore a dress she couldn’t put on
Changing outfits for each era during a three-and-a-half-hour concert is tricky — and Swift isn’t immune to a wardrobe malfunction. Her surprise song dress in particular has gotten her into trouble several times, as she struggled to figure out how to properly put on the sleeves.
“Pretend you don’t see that,” she told the crowd in Nashville when she realized she had worn her clothes wrong. “We change in the dark, you know? You won’t get it right every time.”
Other dresses – like hers Folklore set – are jammed on different parts of the stage. When she performed “Willow” in Philadelphia, she found herself in her forest green cloak, which completely covered her face.
When she forgot the lyrics to some of her iconic songs
While many of Swift’s Eras tour the set list remains the same for each date, part of the concert includes two acoustic surprise songs. To ensure fans got the best experience, Swift made a rule that she could only repeat a surprise song if she messed up the lyrics – which happened more than once.
When you’re on stage with a producer Aaron Dessner in Santa Clara, California, to sing her “Right Where You Left Me.” Always album, Swift mixed up the awkward bridge lyrics, despite rehearsing the song for weeks.
“I knew it! It was too good to be true,” after he messed up a line. She sang the wrong lyrics again when she tried a second time, but she continued the mistake without pausing.
While Swifties weren’t too surprised by some of the forgotten words, Swift shocked them when she messed up while singing her popular ballad “Last Kiss” from her 2010 album. Speak now in Kansas City not once, but twice.
“Oh my God, the words. We have this rule on this tour: if I mess up a song, I have to play it again another time during the tour so I can avenge myself,” she told the crowd after the first mistake. “I got too excited, I got too excited. Will you grant me the honor of starting over?”
Then she repeated the mistake a second time. “Oh my God! No, those are the right lyrics,” she wailed. “I swear I won’t screw this up again! Oh my God! This one, I love this one. Why am I doing this to this song?! ”
