Teen Mom 2 alum Jenelle Evans and her mother, Barbara Evans, have been feuding over custody of Jenelle's son Jace for over a decade, among many other issues. After the birth of her eldest son in August 2009, Jenelle transferred legal custody of Jace to her mother. The dramatic decision […]

The TikTok post comes days after Evans claimed that Child Protective Services had filed a case against her and her husband David Eason, 35, because Jace was dropped. (According to court documents obtained by E! News on Tuesday, February 16, the Columbus County Department of Social Services denied a youth request filed earlier this month in October 2023.)

“CPS has adopted a voluntary resignation and I wanted to be the first to let you know,” Jenelle said in an interview TikTok video on Thursday, Feb. 15, adding that while she was hesitant to share the developments with the public, she explained that “I have to keep the narrative under control.”

“I would appreciate everyone respecting my son's privacy so he can take control of his mental health,” Evans continued. “Just know that I'm super happy. I feel like this is unreal, it still hasn't dawned on me.”

Jenelle has had a challenging history with her son, often playing out in public. For more than ten years, Jace lived under the care of Evans' mother. Barbara Evans. But in March 2023, Jenelle was awarded custody.

The family unit was in the news again in October 2023 after a CPS case was opened against Jenelle and Eason after Jace ran away from home for the third time. Barbara claimed at the time that Jace told police that Eason had attacked him. Eason refuted the allegations, but was later charged with child molestation.

In addition to Jace, whom she shares with ex Andrew Lewis, Jenelle is also the mother of 9-year-old son Kaiser, whom she shares with ex Nathan Griffith, and 6-year-old daughter Ensley with Eason.

Over the past few days, Jenelle has been offering followers a glimpse into her reality social media by sharing a video of Kaiser and Jace playing with Hot Wheels at home.
