Teen mum Amber Portwood gets 'serious' with new boyfriend Gary

'His name is Gary. She met him four months ago on a dating app. They are taking time to get to know each other, but things are getting serious,” says a source close to the MTV star Usadding that he lives locally in the reality star's hometown of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Portwood's new boyfriend, who is in his late 30s, doesn't have any children of his own, but he is “very family-oriented” and cares for his parents, the insider says.
Gary is different from Portwood's exes because he has never seen her hit show Teen momreveals the insider, adding that their blossoming relationship has become more authentic.
“All the guys Amber dated before meeting on social media were fans of the show,” the source continued. “This new man in her life has never actually seen Teen Mom before, so she feels like she can finally date the way she's always wanted.”
Portwood, 33, first appeared in 16 and Pregnant in 2009 before becoming a cast member Teen mom And Teen mom OG. She returned to MTV for 2022 Teen Mom: Family Reunion and about 2023 Teen Mom: The Next Chapter.
Prior to her new relationship, Portwood's romances were often in the spotlight. When fans first met Portwood on screen, she was dating Gary Shirleywith the former couple welcoming their daughter Leah in November 2008. Shirley was awarded full custody of Leah in 2011 after a fight between the exes resulted in Portwood's arrest in 2010.
Today, Portwood and Shirley are co-parenting Leah, now 14, “amicably,” the source says.
Portwood welcomed her second child, son James, with ex Andrew Glennon in May 2018. The couple split after an altercation in 2019, and Glennon won full custody of James in 2022. Following the ruling, Portwood opened up about her struggles and how she is working on herself to move forward.
