SHOPPERS are rushing to buy giant Galaxy bars that have been cut back in the run-up to Mother’s Day.
The price of favorite Galaxy Smooth Milk bar has been halved in Tesco stores across the UK.

One savvy shopper took to a bargains and discounts page on Facebook to share the news.
The user posted a photo of the deal alongside the caption: “Tesco large 360g bars of galaxy chocolate.”
The post has since racked up hundreds of likes and hundreds of comments from equally enthusiastic chocolate fans.
One shopper wrote: “Be perfect as a Mother’s Day gift.”
Another said: “Better than Easter eggs…much better for your money.”
Dozens of others tagged their friends and family, begging them to pay attention and buy the goods for them.
While one user decried: “The price difference to a club card. Is an absolute disgrace.”
If you want to get your hands on one of these giant bars, it’s important to note that the deal is only open to Tesco Clubcard holders.
And remember, supplies will be limited from store to store and some may not have the chocolates at the same discounted price.
What can I get with the Tesco Clubcard?
TESCO’s Clubcard program allows customers to earn points while shopping.
These points can then be converted into vouchers for money on food at the supermarket, or discounts at other places such as restaurants and days out.
Every time you spend €1 in store and online, you get one point when you scan your Clubcard.
Drivers who use the loyalty card receive one point for every two liters they spend on fuel.
One point is equal to 1 cent, so for example, for 150 points you will receive a discount voucher of € 1.50.
You can double their value if you redeem them for discounts with ‘rewards partners’.
For example, vouchers worth €12 can be exchanged for a €24 subscription for three months to Disney+.
Or you can exchange 50p worth of points for £1 to spend in Hungry Horse pubs.
What you can spend them on changes regularly and you can check the Tesco website to see what’s available now.
Tesco shoppers can also get Clubcard prizes if they have the loyalty card.
The discounted items change regularly and without a Clubcard you pay a higher price.
These Clubcard prices are usually listed on the shelves along with the non-member price.
But it’s worth noting that just because there’s a discount doesn’t necessarily make it the cheapest, and you’ll need to compare prices to find the best deal.

The news comes after the retailer sent its customers into a frenzy over a major change that has cost them Clubcard points.
Tesco recently shut down a survey site that rewarded customers with Clubcard points and a chance to win a £1,000 voucher.
Shoppers in the store used to receive receipts encouraging them to visit tescoviews.com for a chance to win a gift voucher and earn 25 extra Clubcard points.
But this week, disappointed shoppers noticed that the retailer is no longer accepting survey responses through the site.
A notice on the address says it will instead contact customers directly for their views, and it is understood this will now be done via email.
Shoppers get one point for every €1 they spend while using their Clubcard, although double points are sometimes offered.
Each Clubcard point is worth 1p to spend at Tesco, so 500 points equals £5 cash.
