‘The Bear’ Gets a Quiet Season 4 Renewal: Report

The bear has reportedly been renewed for a fourth season.

According to multiple media outlets, FX has quietly greenlit a fourth installment of the Emmy-winning series while season 3 is filming in Chicago. Sources said Deadline And The Hollywood Reporter that both seasons will film back to back.

The quick turnaround is reportedly an attempt to keep the show within its annual release goal and give the cast and crew an opportunity for more feature film work. Series stars Jeremy Allen White And Ayo Edebiri Big screen opportunities have been especially in demand lately, with Allen, 33, set to star in the critically acclaimed 2023 film. The Iron Claw. Ebon Moss-Bachrach, who plays Richie, received a win for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. The show also earned three Golden Globes, three SAG Awards and four Critics Choice Awards.

“The way Carmy talks at the end of Season 2 — if we can do a Season 3 — I have to assume he’s going to be operating from this kind of loss,” he told the outlet. “He expanded himself, he ruined everything by expanding himself, and he can’t do it again. That’s where he is.”

Cooking, however, will remain the focus: “For the second season, it was so much about putting the restaurant together, so there wasn’t as much cooking,” he said. “But now, in the third season, I think we’re going back to the functioning kitchen atmosphere that we had in the first season.”
