Bradley Walsh sat back and watched one team make some tough decisions on The Chase in Thursday’s episode.

The TV presenter, 63, welcomed four new contestants Harry, Alex, Patricia and Rachel to the show in a bid to beat the chasers.

Since everything went smoothly at first, the group answered questions to Paul Sinha, also known as the Sinnerman, who was on the hot seat.

However, one team member was faced with the big decision: a low of £1,000 or a high of a whopping £94,000.

Rachel, completely tempted by the offer, awkwardly apologized to Harry after she ignored his opinion about staying safe and essentially opted for the £94,000.

While Alex and Patricia were left out of the final chase after failing to pass their rounds, Harry pocketed £6,000.

Rachel previously had £5,000 in her bank account and made the decision to take the high offer.

Harry said: ‘Under no circumstances should you take that £94,000, it’s just there to tempt you. To be honest, I would go for €1,000. Come back, we need two people. If we have an extra £1,000, that’s money in our pockets.’

Rachel replied, “Oh Harry! Oh god, I’m going to have to do it! I have to go for €94,000. I’m sorry, I’m so sorry Harry, but £94,000…’

Despite Harry’s initial concerns about Rachel’s decision, he encouraged, “You can do it.”

Rachel flew all the way through the round and scooped the huge prize, leaving the pair to battle it out for the £100,000.

But Harry and Rachel were caught by the Sinnerman in the last 16 seconds and ultimately lost the jackpot.

Paul said, ‘Bad luck! Great play and the game was a joy! I had to be at my best there, the questions were really difficult.’

It comes after The Chase fans were left furious as they claimed one of the players was being treated unfairly.

Beth, Suzanne, Matt and Dave all fought off the pursuer Anne ‘The Governess’ Hegerty in the episode, which aired last week.

Director Dave was the first competitor to take home £7,000 for his team after storming his way through the first round.

But fans disagreed with Dave’s final amount and felt he deserved more.

Viewers noted that he wasn’t allowed to give just one answer during his cash builder round, which is why he deserved to walk away with £8,000.

When asked about the location of a mountain range, Dave actually had the right answer, but stumbled a bit over his words.

He said: ‘Snodoni…er, Snowdon’, but although Snowdon was the correct answer, he initially seemed to say Snowdonia, a mountainous area in Wales.

Based on The Chase’s rule, Bradley told him he couldn’t allow it because they had to “accept his first answer.”

But fans jumped to Dave’s defense, claiming that Chasers themselves sometimes make mistakes and are still allowed to give their answers, overturning the unjust rule.

“Snowdon, snowdonia… bit harsh #TheChase,” one viewer wrote candidly.

Another fan fumed: ‘He said Snowdon, fuck Bradley! #The chase.’

“Well played Dave #TheChase,” said one viewer, complimenting the contestant.

It’s not the first time the ITV hit quiz show has come under scrutiny – after viewers claimed the show has been ‘fixed’ after being shocked at how ‘easy’ the questions were during the final chase.
