Three women stabbed to death in brothel massacre as knifeman goes on rampage in Vienna

THREE women have been stabbed to death in a brothel when a knifeman went on the rampage.

Police have arrested a suspect after the gruesome deaths of three women in the red-light district of the Austrian capital Vienna.

The knifeman is believed to have wandered from room to room in the Asia Studio during the horrific massacre.

The suspect, a 27-year-old Afghan asylum seeker, was arrested nearby and found with a knife believed to be the murder weapon.

He was tasered by police and was also found to be covered in knife weapons – probably self-inflicted, police said Die Presse.

The suspect’s motive is unknown.

Police has found a fourth woman in the brothel and she is questioned as a witness.

She allegedly locked herself in a room and overheard the horrific attack.

Police spokesman Philipp Hasslinger said the three victims were found in separate rooms.

Police arrived on the scene after a passerby found blood outside the brothel around 9 p.m. on Friday.

Brothels are legal Austriaand the Asia Studio is located in Vienna’s 20th district, one of the poorest areas of the city.

The location describes itself as an “erotic massage parlour”.

This was said by a spokesperson for the Vienna State Police BIL: “The perpetrator is not Austrian. He first had to be treated in hospital because he injured himself while committing the crime.

“He was then handed over to the police.

“The interrogations and investigations into the background of the crime are now in full swing.”

It came as two other women were also murdered Austria in the city in a separate case.

The mother and her 13-year-old daughter were found dead in an apartment in Vienna earlier Friday.

They may have been strangled or strangled, with the father being the main suspect, Austrian media report.

Austrian women’s groups recorded 26 femicides last year, many of them at the hands of partners or ex-partners.

The Austrian government has vowed to take tough action and has pledged several measures, including more funding for organizations that help victims of violence.

But NGOs say the government is not doing enough to stop the killings.

According to a government study, 319 women were murdered in Austria between 2010 and 2020, mainly by their male partners or ex-partners, with a record number of 43 victims in 2019.
