Devastated mother mourns the loss of her son after five children, ages 2, 4, 5, 11 and 13, died in a massive Arizona house fire while left home alone

Tragedy struck when five children died in a house fire in northwestern Arizona after being left home alone.

The intense fire broke out around 5 p.m. Saturday in the 400 block of Anna Circle in Bullhead City, near the Arizona-Nevada border.

The young victims were unable to escape from the two-story duplex in the community near the Colorado River when the property went up in flames.

The five victims were ages 2, 4, 5, 11 and 13 and their names have not yet been released.

Four of the children were siblings and the fifth child was a relative, said Emily Fromelt, a spokesperson for the Bullhead City Police Department.

The massive fire broke out around 5 p.m. Saturday and left victims unable to leave the two-story duplex in the community near the Colorado River.

The mother of one victim, believed to be a five-year-old boy, said on Facebook: “Mommy loves you so much I have no words.

‘I don’t know what to say. I don’t know what to think. I wish you were here with me.

“I’m so sorry buddy, I love you so much. Such a beautiful soul [taken so] young. May you rest in peace with the other four beautiful children.”

In another post, she shared, “I only have five years with him, please bring me my baby back.”

DailyMail.com has contacted the mother who lost a son in the tragedy.

The cause of this is still being investigated. Members of the city’s police, fire and other agencies, including the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, are investigating the origins of the fire.

Footage from the scene showed firefighters frantically spraying the roof of the house to extinguish the blaze.
