Travis Kelce Jokes That Love Is Blind Is ‘Worse Than Catching Kelce’

During the day the episode of Wednesday March 20 of their “New Heights” podcast, Travis, 34, was asked by his brother Jason Kelce if he has watched “recently new TV shows.”
In that moment, Travis’ eyes lit up at the opportunity placed at his feet.
“I’ve got it, wanna get started?” Travis asked. “Jason, you have to look Love is blindman.”
As Travis explained, he’s more than qualified to be the arbiter of what makes a reality dating show worth watching, even if it’s for the wrong reasons.

“It’s the worst waste ever,” he joked. “It’s worse than that Catching Kelcebut it is so very good.”
For the uninitiated, Catching Kelce was Travis’ E! dating series, which aired in 2016. The show featured 50 women – one from each state – vying for his heart. The Chiefs star ultimately opted Maya Benberryalthough the couple broke up shortly after filming the show.
Travis begged brother Jason, 36, to give Love is blind a shot and said, “Honestly, I want you to look at that one girl and just hear her.”
To leave no doubt about who he was referring to, Travis even did an impression of the Season 6 contestant Chelsea Blackwell, which makes the “Do you think I’m clingy?” is simulated. I’m clingy, really?’ speech she gave to then-fiancée Jimmy Presnell on the show.

Jason didn’t care, though.
“I don’t watch it,” he told Travis. Still, the younger Kelce remained undeterred.
“Oh, my God, Jason,” Travis begged. “Please!”
But Jason stood defiantly on the ground.
“No, I’m not looking at that trash,” he countered. “I’m not encouraging Netflix or any of these other subscription channels to make any more of this bullshit.”

Fortunately, Travis had support from the producer of “New Heights”. Brandon Borderswho intervened and told Jason, “I’m coming to Philly, and we’re going to watch it together.”
Borders’ offer got a hearty laugh from the recently retired Eagles legend, so perhaps there’s still hope for Jason to dip his toes in the pods.
Recently, Travis reflected on his Catching Kelce experience and admitted that there were a few different motivating factors at play.
“I turned down the show about 100 times, it felt like,” Travis further said “The Pivot Podcast” in January 2023. “I had so much fun buying whatever I wanted and going wherever I wanted to go. I haven’t looked at this financially because I’ll need money later. There were times in the off season when I avoided the rental lady. It was that bad.”
He continued, “I heard about a situation where I could make six figures in two weeks, and I was like, ‘Uhhh.’ And 50 ladies? I’m like, ‘This is actually starting to sound a little better.’
