Trista’s clarification comes less than a month after Ryan made headlines for revealing that the couple, who tied the knot in 2003, had had a bumpy year together.
“They never said it would be easy, but this year has without a doubt been one of the craziest, most challenging and most unpredictable years of our twenties we have now spent together,” Ryan wrote in a Instagram tribute in celebration of the pair’s 20th anniversary in December 2023. “Major change and heartbreaking loss tested our resolve. “We left a community and friends and a lifestyle – a safe haven – for a new adventure and a new home.
