The competitive exam is held twice a year (June and December). The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been tasked by the University Grants Commission (UGC) to conduct UGC-NET, a test to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for both ‘Assistant Professor’ and ‘Junior Research Fellowship’ . and assistant professor at Indian universities and colleges. The UGC-NET will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode from December 2018.
