‘I’d rather cry in a Rolls Royce than on a bicycle,’ says Britain’s richest gypsy

Britain’s richest gypsy doesn’t shy away from splashing out his millions – and his latest lavish holiday was no exception.

Alfie Best – whose net worth was a whopping £745million this year – spent a glamorous week on his £9million superyacht, sailing around Cannes and meeting celebs.

The real estate mogul enjoyed the luxurious lifestyle, enjoying meals prepared by his private chef and taking jet boat lessons from a private teacher he had on board.

But he didn’t stop working completely during his holiday, with the scammer regularly sneaking off to answer Zoom calls home.

Alfie’s astonishing wealth comes from his residential park empire Wyldecrest Parks, which made £32 million last year alone.

As a well-deserved break, he took daughter Elizabeth and son Alfie Jr to Cannes, where his yacht – named Wyldecrest after the company that made his fortune – is moored.

Alfie told The Sun: “We chartered the yacht around Monaco, Cannes and St. Tropez.

“I won’t lie to you, I was on Zoom in the afternoon. I really enjoyed sitting down for a really good lunch and dinner.

“There’s a chef on board.”

Not content with floating on water, Alfie arranged for a private tutor to teach him how to float in the air in jet-powered boots.

His judgment? “Honestly, terrifying,” Alfie said.

“I’m a bit of a thrill seeker, I can’t say I’m a rollercoaster person.”

Alfie spent days touring the picturesque bay of Cannes.

He added: “We went to the island of Cannes – there is a restaurant there that you can only go to if you have a yacht.

“I’ve been there in the past and Elton John was there jamming. It’s very surreal.

“I have two Sea-Doos on the yacht – they’re like jet-powered boards that take you underwater and around.

“Dolphins swam next to us.”

Alfie talked about a typical day on holiday.

“I got up around 9 a.m. Then I had breakfast upstairs around 9:30,” he said.

“Waking up at 9 a.m. is kind of lazy for me. Then I check my emails to see if there are any calls that need to be made.

‘Then the boat would take us to the coast and we would explore the city for two hours.

“Come back, go out with Sea-Doos, or take the paddleboard.

“Sometimes we would take out a donut and have it pulled by the speedboat we had with us.

“Then at 4 p.m. I do two hours of mentoring with other companies.

“I spent the afternoon sunbathing before having dinner on the yacht upstairs at 7pm.”

And Alfie’s luxury trip didn’t come cheap.

He added: “To take the yacht for a week would cost around £85,000 – plus fuel and mooring it works out to around £100,000.”

Alfie’s yacht is an exclusive Sunseeker 90 Ocean and features a watersports speedboat tender and a jet ski – both housed in the yacht’s own private dipping jetty.

On board there is luxurious accommodation for eight guests, plus a lounge and swimming platform at water level.

Photos show a beautiful dining area suitable for eight people.

Glamorous sleeping quarters ensure a good night’s sleep on board and beautiful works of art hang above the bed.

The bathroom is fully equipped with a window overlooking the sea from the shower.

An outdoor seating area allows guests to dine with the sound of the waves amid the sea air.
