Virat Kohli or Babar Azam? Shoaib Akhtar makes astounding remark when choosing a favorite

New Delhi: The Virat Kohli vs Babar Azam has been one of the hottest topics in recent times. While both are greats in their own spaces, different cricketers have their own take on the subject, making it a trend on social media.

Recently, the legendary Harbhajan Singh posed the same question to former Pakistani pacemaker Shoaib Akhtar. The iconic pacemaker took no diplomatic route, calling Kohli “best” and describing Babar as “upcoming best hitter.”

Despite being arch rivals on the cricket field, both Harbhajan and Akhtar share great camaraderie off the field. In a video, where both can be seen vacationing in Qatar, Harbhajan spoke to Akhtar in a conversation under the sky where they discussed different things.

“Virat Kohli is the greatest and Babar Azam is in the making to become the best batsman ever. He’s trying to get better in T20s. People are behind him for no reason,” Akhtar said in response to Harbhajan’s question.

The former Indian off-spinner also repeated his friend. “Virat Kohli has established himself as a greatness, while Babar still has a lot to do. He will get there one day, because he is a great player. He is very good in Test cricket, but maybe T20 is not a good fit for him,” said he.

Statistically, Babar has gained a lot of ground to come close to what Kohli has achieved in his career so far. Kohli has 25385 runs in formats in international cricket with 75 centuries to his name. On the other hand, Babar’s international counter is at 12270 with 30 tons.
