Vodafone hit by major outage, hundreds report problems with network provider

If you are having trouble reaching Vodafone, you can try restarting your network router.

You can do this by turning it off, waiting 30 seconds and then turning it back on.

There is of course no guarantee that this will solve your internet problems.

If you experience problems with your internet, calling or mobile services, you may be entitled to compensation.

Internet companies usually pay £8 for each report that broadband and phone services are not repaired after two full days without service.

If you are a mobile customer experiencing a lack of service, you may be entitled to a refund or account credit, depending on the circumstances.

If you are without service for an extended period of time, you may have the right to leave without charge.

If you still want to complain to Vodafone about an issue, you can contact the company by phone, online or visit a branch.

Vodafone customers have taken to social media in droves after experiencing problems connecting calls.

One customer wrote: “Hi @VodafoneUK, are your services down? I can't make calls at work. I keep getting a 'busy' tone on every number I try.”

A second said: “Anyone having problems with @VodafoneUK it's a nightmare.”

This heatmap shows where user-submitted problem reports are concentrated over the last 24 hours.

It is common for some problems to be reported during the day.

Downdetector only reports an incident if the number of problem reports is significantly higher than the usual volume at that time.

Hundreds of users are experiencing problems with the network provider this afternoon.

According to DownDetector, more than 700 users have reported issues with their service.
