Delhi Fire News: A major fire broke out near the Modi Mill Flyover in Central Delhi’s Mathura on Saturday, causing severe disruption to vehicular traffic and prompting the city’s traffic police to issue an alert, advising commuters to avoid the stretch.

There were no casualties or injuries in the incident, police said.

According to officials, a massive fire broke out in a forest near Modi Mill Flyover on Mathura Road on Saturday evening. The Delhi Fire Brigade said fire tenders were rushed to the spot after information about the fire was received.

“A total of seven firefighters responded to the scene,” the fire department said, adding that no injuries or causal links have been reported in the fire incident so far.

Meanwhile, the Delhi Traffic Police has issued a traffic alert warning commuters to avoid the adjacent roads near the Modi Mill flyover.

“Traffic Alert: Traffic is affected on Mathura road on carriageway from Ashram Chowk towards Apollo Hospital as major fire has broken out under Modi Mill Flyover along Mathura road. Please avoid the stretch,” the Delhi Traffic Police wrote on X.
