New Delhi: The Delhi Jal Board said water supply will be disrupted in several areas in the national capital for two days from January 29 to 30. The main reason for the water cut is the interconnection of a water line by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Arihant Marg opposite Kewal Park. Water supply will be affected for almost 16 hours, the DJB said.

The DJB also advised residents to store sufficient water in advance as per requirement as water supply will be interrupted for 16 hours from January 29, 10am to January 30, 2am in Kewal Park and the adjacent park. areas.

“Due to the interconnection of a waterline of 1100mm diameter by the DMRC on Arihant Marg opposite Kewal Park. On January 29, a 16-hour closure is required from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. on January 30. Residents are advised to store sufficient water in advance, depending on need. A water tanker will be available on request,” the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) notice said.

The DJP earlier said in a notice that the DMRC will work on 1100 mm water line on Arihant Marg opposite Kewal Park, which will lead to disruption of water supply in the area.

The DJB, in another advisory, said that due to the annual underground reservoir (UGR) flushing program and booster pump station, water supply will be affected on January 29 and 30 in areas like Rajokri, Baraf Khana, Malka Ganj, Bangalow Road and Shakti Nagar. , Vijay Nagar, University areas, Police Line area, Multan Nagar, Jawlaheri village and Paschim Vihar.
