Delhi's water supply will be disrupted from January 18 to 19: check timings and list of affected areas

The Delhi Jal Board said that due to installation and maintenance work on the flow meter at Sonia Vihar Water Treatment Plant, water supply will be affected for 16 hours on January 18 from 10 am.

New Delhi: Water supply in the national capital will not be available on January 18 and 19 due to installation and maintenance work on the flow meter at Sonia Vihar Water Treatment Plant, Delhi Jal Board said in a statement. During this time, the city's water supply will be affected for sixteen hours.

“Due to installation and maintenance work on the flow meter at Sonia Vihar Water Treatment Plant, water supply will be affected for 16 hours on January 18, 2024 from 10am. The water supply will not be available on 18.01.2024 (evening) and 19.01.2024 (morning) in the following areas…”

Earlier this month, water supply in the city was disrupted for about 12 hours and the Delhi Jal Board said the pipeline leakage can be addressed, the Delhi Jal Board said.

Residents were asked to stock up enough water in advance depending on their needs, adding that a water tanker will be available upon request.

The affected areas include Nangloi, Mundka, Hiran Kudna, Kamruddin Nagar, Nihal Vihar, Ranholla Village, Bakkarwala, Rajdhani Park, Friends Enclave, Dichaon Kalan, Jhroda Village, Mitraon Village, Chhawla Village, Jaffarpur Kalan and Dhansa.
