Wayne & Coleen are ready for a documentary series about the Wagatha trial and the looting in Birmingham
WAYNE and Coleen Rooney will make a fly-on-the-wall documentary about the couple's home life with their four sons.
It comes after the success of Tyson Fury's Netlfix series, which followed the lives of the champion boxer and his family.
The show about former Manchester United and England legend Wayne, 38, and Coleen, 37, could spark a bidding war between streaming giants.
A TV insider said: “The couple have both starred in documentaries for various streamers and feedback from viewers is that they are most intrigued by what life is like behind the doors of Chez Rooney.
“Wayne and Coleen live in a sprawling £20million mansion in leafy Cheshire with six bedrooms, a wine cellar and accommodation on their 40-acre estate for 14 horses.
“And then there's the fact that they will soon have to navigate the minefield of having four boys aged five to 13 growing up with famous parents and the luxuries that come with that.”
The source added that Fury had shown that “the domestic life of a sports star can be just as intriguing as a rock star or style icon”.
Coleen's docu on Disney+ called Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story was a hit as it gave her side of her court case with Rebekah Vardy.
Wayne had another biopic made, Rooney, looking at his life and career, which was released on Prime Video in 2022.
Both are made by Lorton Productions, which recently said it was launching the couple's third TV project.
It was originally thought the focus would be on Wayne's coaching career, but that seems less likely after Birmingham City sacked him last month.
Instead, it could now follow eldest son Kai, 14, who is at Man United's youth academy, as well as the other three children Klay, 10, Kit, 8, and Cass, 5.
A spokesperson for the Rooneys declined to comment.
