A group of men who traveled to Russia for a New Year’s Eve party claim they have been recruited into Vladimir Putin’s army.

Seven Indonesian Citizens say they are now being forced to fight on the front lines in the United States war with Ukraine in a bizarre video message posted online.

In the images, which are op X (formerly Twitter) by Indian outlet NDTVthe men claim they were tricked into signing documents sworn into the military.

I enjoyed their trip to Russiathe men were then allegedly tricked into visiting Belarus by their travel agent, who soon took their money and disappeared.

The Indian citizens claim that they were arrested by police upon arrival in Belarus and handed over to Russian authorities.

The group was reportedly forced to sign documents in Russian despite not understanding what was written on the paper.

And after learning that they had pledged their allegiance to the Russian army, the men were faced with a terrifying ultimatum if they refused.

According to NDTV, the men were told that an alternative to military service could be a prison sentence of ten years.

The man speaking to the camera, Sudhir, 23, said they are now “forced to fight in the war against Ukraine“.

All the men have since received 15 days of military training and been sent to a combat zone, where they “could be deployed at any time to take part in hostilities.”

But they are not the only Indian citizens who have faced the same problem.

a earlier report from NDTV claims that at least twenty Indians stuck in Russia had contacted Indian authorities for help after allegedly being tricked into military service.

India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said it was doing its best to bring back their citizens and had been in touch with Russian authorities.

Like the seven men in the recent video, many unsuspecting Indians were eventually conscripted into the Russian army after being promised support jobs.

But they too had signed misleading translations of documents and had to undergo military training against their initial knowledge.

The Indian Embassy Moscow is reportedly monitoring the situation of Indians in the Russian military and negotiating with Russian authorities for their early release.

In 2023, around 100 Indians were hired on contracts for a minimum period of one year, although several have since been released.

Elsewhere, a Russian neo-Nazi mercenary has died under mysterious circumstances after the private military group was taken over by Putin’s billionaire friend.

Vyacheslav “Vykhodnoy” Subbotin, 37, was the so-called intelligence chief of the infamous Española Battalion, composed of Neo-Nazis and football hooligans.

And Putin’s feared army chief has sent a chilling warning to the West say that the risk of World War III is skyrocketing “significantly” and closer to reality.

Colonel General Vladimir Zarudnitsky said this was devastating fighting in Ukraine could soon pass Europe and a terrifying light global conflict.
