In an Apple community support discussion, one customer Posted: “On my iPhone, my WhatsApp is set to automatically save the photos I receive on Photos.

“This worked fine for me, but a few days ago Photos started saving each photo twice.

“This means that if I now receive one photo via WhatsApp and then go to Photos, the same photo appears twice.”

Apple has pointed iPhone owners to WhatsApp’s customer service channels.
