Why Southern Hospitality's Maddi Reese Believes Ex-Trevor Didn't Cheat
Maddi Reese And Trevor Stokes broke up after filming season 2 of Southern hospitality – but the rumor about his affair wasn't the reason.

“I don't think it happened,” Maddi, 26, said exclusively We weekly on Thursday, February 15, after their split played out during the Bravo finale. “Even months later we broke up and I started dating other people. I've seen other people and he still says, 'This didn't happen.'
She explained, “So for me it's like I don't trust him that much but for some reason I really trust him on this just because we broke up and time has passed and it's like :' Why ? What's the point now?'' Maddi admitted. “Maybe I'll never know, and I have to make peace with that.”
Maddi and Trevor had an on-off relationship in season 2 of Southern hospitality. When the season started, Maddi had forgiven Trevor for cheating on her in the past and they were back together.
However, Bradley Carter claimed during the season 2 premiere, which aired in December 2023, that Trevor kissed a girl named Sammie when he lived with Maddi. Maddi didn't believe Bradley's claim — and during Thursday's Season 2 finale, she confronted Sammie for allegedly lying about hooking up with Trevor to stir the pot.
'I've heard everything I want to hear from you. You're a real liar,” Maddi told Sammie during a farewell party Will Kulp. “Have a nice day. Bye, bitch!”

Maddi locked Sammie out of the house, but later revealed that she heard Sammie's confession while listening to her and Trevor's phone call. The revelation shocked Maddi's friends, who thought she had only heard a snippet of Trevor and Sammie's call.
“I felt like it wasn't my rumor. It wasn't my fight,” Maddi said Us Thursday why she didn't tell everyone about the recording. “I feel like after hearing what she had to say, this closed a chapter for me.”
Maddi went on to explain that her relationship with Trevor “ended more because of the stress and the mental issues I was going through,” but her ex-boyfriend wasn't helping himself with all the Sammie drama.
“I understand his fingerprints are all over there. But ultimately I wanted to know [the truth]” she revealed Us, confirming that she was on the phone when Trevor confronted Sammie about the rumors. “I feel like I was playing detective in a way, but I felt like it wasn't my fight. I felt like it was Trevor's decision and his decision to go to the group with that.
Maddi insisted it was her own personal battle with Trevor that led to their split in July 2023. “We have different lifestyles. I work in nightlife. He's more of a nine to five,” she said. “I feel like it was very mutual.”
The DJ added that she is still “slowly” moving out of her and Trevor's shared home. “I'm open to dating and putting myself out there. I feel like I still need to heal some things,” she said.
Maddi claimed the “chapter is closed” between her and Trevor, but it's not always easy staying away from him. “You have to have the self-control to say, 'No, the chapter is closed,'” she teased. “So for me it's completely closed at the moment, but you never know where your future lies [will go].”

The door has also been closed on Maddi's relationship with Sammie following their fight during the Season 2 finale. “She's completely gone,” Maddi said of Sammie, confirming that they haven't spoken since filming 4's bash July for the show.
“I definitely feel like I'm in a healing place, but I'm super open to what else is out there for me,” Maddi shared. Us of her current headspace. “I'm really just trying to figure out a lot of the broken relationships. I really tried to get them back on track.”
