Users have complained about not being able to complete their daily puzzle and worry that it will cause them to lose their streak.

But some say the Wordle app still works.

“I've been trying on and off for the past six hours but it still doesn't work,” said another.

“For me here in the UK – in the browser. It loads in the app…” a third person commented.

There have been outage reports from Britain, the US and Australia, among others, suggesting it is a global problem.

The most obvious thing is to check the usual Wordle website, see if it loads and then try some alternative websites.

If the alternatives load, you know it's not a problem with your broadband or Wi-Fi, but with the Wordle site.

It doesn't seem like Wordle has a service status page, so it's hard to tell any other way.
