I’m a wrestling fanatic and WWE 2K24 is the best sports game yet

THE WWE games have had their highs and lows, but since the series’ reinvention with WWE 2K22, it’s one of the strongest sports series around.

Since then, WWE games have tried to improve and refine the formula while adding some flashy new features.

WWE 2K24 will add four new match types throughout ’23, many of which haven’t been in the series for over a decade.

Ambulance and Casket matches only end when you send your opponent home in them, and these are a lot of fun to play with friends.

The button-pressing mini-games can become tiring as the match progresses.

However, there is great tension in the close calls to push your opponent towards the ambulance or coffin.

Gauntlet matches are also deeper than we expected and quickly became one of our favorite modes.

There are three types, and the first is a series of one-on-one matches where the winner continues until there is one person left standing.

The second type plays similarly to Royal Rumble and requires pins and submissions for eliminations.

Up to 30 wrestlers can participate in these matches, which makes them all the more exciting.

Special guest referee matches put you in the position of the referee and let you be as fair or unfair as you want.

It gives you a different way to participate in wrestling matches, mixing up the way you can play and telling your own story in the ring.

The ‘Trading Blows’ mini-game is the biggest change to the way matches work, simulating situations where two competitors slowly take blows.

Overall, things feel a lot smoother than WWE 2K23. The transitions are smoother and the wrestling is faster.

These improvements have also been added to returning modes, such as Showcase, which has much more variety.

However, there are still bugs and Universe is the mode most affected by this, while some aspects that worked last year no longer do so.

The team’s track record is good in this regard and we expect fixes to arrive shortly after release.

WWE 2K24 still does what it’s best known for: taking larger-than-life personas and putting them in your hands.

It takes the hype and silliness of TV wrestling matches and puts it all into a playable format.
