How ‘rebellious’ royal Zara ditched fun fashion for a chic makeover that surprised us all (although it’s not clear what her very practical mother, Princess Anne, made of it)

Zara Tindall is fast becoming one of the best-dressed members of the royal family, showing off a range of outfits from tailored dresses to fitted coats in trendy bright pink shades.

While she dazzled us over the years with eclectic mini dresses and fun fascinators, she has now refined her style aesthetic to chic and flattering silhouettes.

Often known as the rebellious royal woman, Zara still favors vibrant shades. But these days she likes clean lines and uses accessories to add personality.

Neither her husband, Mike, nor her mother, the Princess Royal, have ever paid much attention to the vagaries of fashion, but Zara is growing in confidence.

Not that she wants to be a trendsetter. Rather, it seems that she wants to concentrate on dressing nicely.

Australian-born fashion stylist Annie Miall is credited with helping Zara—particularly in choosing sharply cut, form-fitting pieces from designers like Rebecca Vallance and Laura Green, who spent 10 years at Princess Diana’s favorite brand, Catherine Walker , have spent.

Zara has definitely found its fashion formula.
