Do what she does best! Zara Tindall shows off her skills as she competes in West Yorkshire dressage trials (and she’s not a bad cyclist either!)

Equestrian and horse enthusiast Zara Tindall looked focused as she mounted a horse to compete in dressage trials today.

Princess Anne’s 42-year-old daughter took part in The Bramham International Horse Trials in West Yorkshire this afternoon.

The mother-of-three rode her beloved grizzled thoroughbred, Classicals Euro Star, in the first of two rides she is expected to compete in during the trials. Tomorrow she will ride her second horse, Class Affair.

As she rode, Olympic silver medalist Zara looked elegant yet focused in white riding breeches, a dark blue double-breasted blazer, and a high-collared shirt.

After the race, the royal jumped on her bike – for which her riding helmet also proved useful.

The royal is a serious international competitor in equestrian sports, having won a gold medal at the 2005 European Eventing Championships and a silver medal at the 2006 World Equestrian Games.

And Zara previously won a silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics as part of the Great Britain Eventing Team.

In 2006 she was named Sports Personality of the Year by the BBC.

An avid horse lover, Zara also fills much of her free time with horses and was photographed last week at the Epsom Derby with husband Mike Tindall.

As Animal Rising protesters made an effort to disrupt the race, Zara made a rare intervention, urging them to stop their activities.

She said, ‘She [the protesters] talk about what they believe in…but do [they] totally understand what [they’re] talk about?’

Meanwhile, 44-year-old Mike begged activists to “spend some time at professional yards” to see how the horses are cared for.

As the pair basked in the sun at the races, Zara looked chic as always in a white midi dress with black stripes, topped off with a matching black and white cockade hat.

Meanwhile, Mike opted for a traditional morning suit, gray trousers under his black tailcoat – and a black and white striped tie to match his wife’s dress.

The pair appeared to be enjoying their day at Surrey Racecourse and were photographed smiling as they posed together.

And Zara was seen at one point enjoying a glass of wine, also watching the action intently.
