Amazon Fire TV Stick users can unlock 'show to free content' with just one app

By downloading just one app on your Amazon Fire TV Stick, you can unlock tons of free content.

It's so good that Amazon even promotes the free app on its website.

The tech giant explains: “Did you know that in addition to Prime Video, Amazon also offers a completely free streaming service with thousands of hit films, shows and Originals?

“It's called Amazon Freevee and it's an ad-supported streaming service that lets you watch all kinds of different movies and TV shows for free.”

If the content on the Freevee app looks familiar, that's because it used to be IMDb TV.

Through the app you can access thousands of premium movies and TV shows.

Users also have access to 150 always-on FAST channels.

It's easy to download the Amazon Freevee app on your Fire Stick device.

Go to the search bar in the main menu and type the name of the app.

Alternatively, you can use voice search if you have a compatible remote.

Simply press and hold the microphone or Alexa button and speak into the remote.

Once Freevee appears, all you have to do is click Get or the shopping cart icon.

If you already have the Prime Video app, Freevee content is available there.

Amazon adds: “Freevee is also available as a standalone app on a variety of devices, including all Amazon Fire TV devices, iOS and Android mobile devices, Xbox, PlayStation 5 and many smart TVs.”

You must sign in to Freevee with your Amazon.com username and password.

That way you get personalized recommendations based on your previous activity.
